Open Up Your Heart

Is your marriage a shadow of what it once was?
Has your relationship lost its sparkle?

If you are spending your time arguing as opposed to enjoying each other’s company, your marriage could be taking a downward turn.

However, all is not lost. If your relationship is on the rocks it’s not too late to take action to save your marriage.

Talk it Through

Don’t settle for a mediocre or unfulfilling marriage. Set aside an evening when you both have some spare time. Make every effort to ensure the lead up to your time together is not fraught – avoid arguments and keep yourself upbeat.

When the time is right, open up your heart to your partner. Let them know how you feel and that you want to put every effort into rekindling your romance.

Encourage your partner to share their feelings as well as their ideas on how to put things right.

Give each other time to speak and avoid being defensive or getting into arguments. Remember, you want to look forwards and not back.

It is only by getting to the core of your problems that you can start to remedy things.

Think About 'Me' not 'We'

One way to save your marriage is to think about the pair of you as individuals.

If you always consider yourself as a couple then you are not addressing your own personal fulfilment as individuals. Everyone knows that two contended people are far more likely to make a happy couple than two unhappy individuals.

This blog is designed to get you thinking about the positive steps you can take to get your mariage back on track. Sometimes you need help and advice, other times you need to take a completely fresh approach.

Find The New You

Refocus your efforts initially on finding your own personal happiness; look at activities that help to keep you confident, calm, happy or challenged. Seek out new opportunities or old friends. Look for adventure or relaxation. Identify what would add to your day to day happiness and make an effort to reintroduce it into your life.

This might seem selfish but it may just be a tactic that helps you to approach your marriage in a totally different way. Read future posts for more tips.
